As a co-founder and CEO of Vis-analytics a high-tech company committed to become a leading software developer and integrator for mobile and tablet intelligent platforms for the UAVs , Chris is responsible for executing the overall team’s vision for the company. Since 2011, Chris has been CEO of HeliDirect until June 2016, driving its revenue growth by 40%, culminating in the quest to start a MIT Startup (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Top Flight Technologies company based in Boston, which he is a former CEO and currently an Advisor. He has been actively involved in the aviation industry for more than 30 years.
CTO / Lead Architect
Mr. Pickell is the CTO and Lead Architect for VIS Analytics, Inc. He is laser focused and dedicated to taking a global perspective in the identification of new and cutting-edge technologies in the creation of integrated enterprise product solutions and services for the Internet of Smart Things. He is also responsible for creating the technology roadmap for the company that creates architectures that are robust, scalable and adaptable to future technology upgrades.
Mr. Pickell is both a technologist and entrepreneur who has spent most of his career at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia either doing research and development of cutting-edge technologies or being part of several technology startup companies commercializing developed IP for UAVs / drones, connected cars, smart cities and IoT. Mr. Pickell has worked in engineering, product design, development and integration, project and program management, operations and executive management. He has a diverse background in electronics, controls, communications and image based systems including extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of real-time embedded system design. Mr. Pickell has experience in all facets of software, hardware and embedded firmware design while taking a system engineering approach and utilizing best system engineering practices.
Mr. Pickell is also the CTO of Autonomous WorX, Inc. (AWX), an Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) company on the business campus of Georgia Tech. He is leading the effort to develop turnkey hardware, software and cloud-based enterprise data solutions that help enterprise customers monitor, manage and monetize the use of assets and infrastructure in the smart city as well as applications for connected, autonomous vehicle, drones and robots.
Mr. Pickell has a MSEE degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSEE degree from Purdue University. He is active in several professional societies including IEEE, AUVSI National, AUVSI Atlanta Chapter, NDIA and INCOSE.

An has over 20 years of experience in technology development, executive management and international projects. An served as the Vice President and President of leading software outsouricng companies in Vietnam, where set up, and managed Offshore Development Centers for enterprises from early-stage to Fortune 500 such as Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper Networks, Lucent Technologies, Nortel and NTT. Additionally, An worked to incubate several start-up companies with unique products in IoT, mCommerce, communications and retail.
An received Bachelor and Master degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications from Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology. An also obtained his MBA degree from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

Quoc has more than 13 years of experience in software development for a wide range of software applications and products across different domains and technologies. Quoc was a senior manager of one of the leading software outsourcing companies in Vietnam. He successfully led many large and complicated development projects for global clients like Nortel, Flextronics... He has deep experience with various software development methodologies, from waterfall to Agile. Quoc received Bachelor degree in software engineering from HCMC University of Natural Sciences. He also held an MBA degree from Solvay Brussels School, Belgium.
